This past year
Well this past year has definitely been an interesting one. We closed our business in Florida, temporarily moved to Atlanta and are getting ready to move back to Florida. The economy has not been too kind to us. My husband decided last year to go back to the trucking industry, knowing that everyone has to eat, so the refrigerated industry should be good. Well, promises made are not promises kept. After 6 months of driving, we are probably further in the hole than last year. Had to move twice, once from Florida to an apartment in Atlanta, then from that apartment to another due to rat issues at The Ashford Apartments! So we moved to another apartment complex that is pretty awesome, except for one nasty neighbor. My hubby quit his job this past Monday and is packing our stuff up for home. This means our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids have to move so we can have our home back and it also means trying to find work again. I know the Lord will provide and I pray it will be something good that will make my hubby happy. After we get back down there, I plan on writing more on here. I figure if I have time to Twitter and Facebook, then I should have time to blog. I will say, I will not miss the traffic and nasty people of Atlanta, but I will miss the great restaurants (especially CPK!!!!) and mystery shopping opportunities. Will post more in the next few weeks. Thanks for reading. God Bless.

Well it has been a while, taking care of grandkids, now a third one has arrived. Since my last posting, we have been considering letting our business go and my husband finding a different job, possibly in the logistics area. If God is heading us in that direciton then I say full speed ahead. I am looking forward to the possibility of being a full time homemaker and grandma. I have been taking care of my second grandchild off and on, depending on his mother's mood! He is truly a blessing to me. Our third grandchild arrived on December 16, 2008 and she is the new delight for Grandpa. Her name is Keira and she is a beautiful angel. Her big brother certainly adores her.
I have not had to take care of my mother for a while now, thankfully. We had her in our home for 19 months at one time due to a crushed leg and then for about 3 months with a broken kneecap on the same leg. I told her doctor that she missed him! But she has been safely at home for a few months this go round. I am beginning to worry about her mental state, and mine! I love her but at times she can drive me completely bonkers! I lost my father to dementia and I am worried that that is the direction she is going in. I also worry how my husband feels because I would assume things like that are hereditary and he might be thinking it would be better to get rid of me before that happens to me!!
For the last year or so, I have taken on a new carrer in the field of mystery shopping. I have found it to be a lot of fun and at times a little tedious but educational and interesting. I will have to continue this later.

A Little History
I like to tell everyone that I was made in England, born in Texas & raised in Florida. Of course I am what you call a military brat, but I don't consider myself such because my family never moved again after we came to Florida in 1965. My parents have always told me that I have been all over the United States, like Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and the Grand Canyon, but that was all when I was 2. I am married to an extremely hard working man whom I am madly in love with and we have 3 beautiful daughters aged 23, 18, and surprise, 7! Our 18 year old is married and has our first precious grandson who is his Grandpa's delight. He (Andrew) was born on our 24th wedding anniversary. Three days later, our then 22 year old had our second precious grandson (Hunter). My husband always wanted a son but winded up instead with 2 tomboys for daughters and 2 grandsons. My husband and I are self-employed in the construction industry, which, thanks to everyone thinking our economy is so bad, has just about come to a standstill. We are both born again Christians and attend a fundamental Baptist church. We own a cat and 1 - 2 Springer Spaniels. One is liver and white -Chloe-(which is supposed to be owned by our daughter & son-in-law but they can't have pets where they live) and the other is Missy and she is black & white as you can see. In this blog, I will write about the interesting things that have happened to my family. We have had some unusual things happen and have been told by so many people that we should write a book, but I honestly don't know if anyone else would be interested, so that is what this blog is for. I f there is interest, I will probably post here for a while and see where it takes me. Thank you for taking your time to read me and I hope you find it was worth your time. God bless you and if you don't know the one and only true Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ, please find someone to pray with you, go to a good solid church that follows the Bible, speak to a Pastor, do everything you possibly can to make sure you are saved! "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Whosoever meaneth me!
